Security Officer Motor Vehicle Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer Motor Vehicle Patrol Driver in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to an agile, reliable, caring team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or designated personnel when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and policy violations through detailed reports.
• Provide directions and assistance while maintaining a professional Allied Universal presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
