As a Security Officer - Outdoor Retail Center in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, observe building systems and surroundings, and document security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Support emergency response activities by assisting with directions, access control, and communication during alarms, medical incidents, and/or other building-related events.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
