Location: Downtown Melbourne, FL

Job Description

We are hiring Unarmed Security Officers to provide foot patrol security. Officers will be a visible presence, assist with non-emergency issues, and work with local police when needed.

Responsibilities

• Foot patrol in Downtown Melbourne

• Patrol Parking Garage

• Monitor activity and prevent loitering

• Assist with quality-of-life issues (noise, panhandling, disturbances)

• Contact Melbourne Police for serious issues

• Write brief daily activity reports

• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct

Schedule

Downtown Patrol

• Tuesday & Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

• Thursday – Saturday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Parking Garage

• Thursday: 8:00 PM – 1:30 AM

• Friday & Saturday: 8:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Additional shifts may be available.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older

• High school diploma or GED

• Active Florida Class D Security License (required)

• Valid Florida driver’s license

• Minimum 2 year security experience

• Able to walk, stand, and climb stairs for long periods

• Strong communication and report writing skills

• Professional appearance and attitude

• Must pass background check and drug screening

• Use of mobile reporting and patrol tracking system

• Work closely with local law enforcement
