As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $24.55 / Hour

• 3.1 Act 235 Qualification

Candidates must provide proof of Act 235 Qualification, which includes successful completion of the required training and certification as mandated by the Pennsylvania State Police. This qualification is essential for roles that involve carrying a firearm or other duties as specified under Act 235.

• 3.2 Documentation Submission

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and guests at a government military and veterans services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Act 235 qualification is required in Pennsylvania.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
