As a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Systems and Access Control in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and respond to alarms and other site needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access and assist with verifying authorized entry for employees, contractors, vendors, and drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Observe and report potential hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
