As a Security Officer Patrol Operations Coordinator in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and/or deliveries entering and leaving the location, following post orders and reporting discrepancies, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
• Support day-to-day security-related operations by communicating with site contacts, completing required reports, and maintaining awareness of changing conditions across the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
