Description
Job Summary:
Patrols casino premises and/or guards casino posts to maintain safety and security; prevent underage gambling and casino floor access, protect assets and ensure observance of applicable laws and casino regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides exceptional customer service to guests at all times.
Guards security post and/or patrols internal and external casino property to prevent and respond to security incidents.
Prevents underage gambling via access to the casino floor by following identification verification procedures.
Interviews guests and employees when security incidents occur.
Contacts shift manager and/or supervisor when security situations require intervention beyond scope of authority.
Obtains assistance for accident victims.
Assists management in emergency situations.
Writes detailed security reports.
Answers security calls and dispatches officers to assist per departmental standards and protocols.
Responds to emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months security experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
Virginia Unarmed Security License
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to form and build long-standing relations with established and new guests/players.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate with team members and guests.
Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to see, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
