Location: 175 Temple St, Newton, MA 02465
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Part-Time)
Shift: Mid-shift | 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00 hourly

Signal of New England is seeking dependable, professional, and customer-focused Security Officers to join our growing team. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing exceptional customer service.

Job Description:

As a Dedicated Security Officer, you will be assigned to a single client location where you'll conduct proactive foot patrols, monitor property conditions, assist visitors, and help prevent security incidents through a visible and professional presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct continuous foot patrols throughout the property, including stairwells and common areas.
• Maintain a highly visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor the property for safety hazards, suspicious behavior, and maintenance concerns.
• Control access to the property and enforce client policies professionally and respectfully.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
• Prepare accurate, detailed daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients, visitors, coworkers, and emergency responders.
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Ensure all entrances, exits, gates, and access points remain secure throughout the shift.

• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to remain on foot for extended periods and conduct frequent patrols
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong observational and communication skills
• Comfortable addressing individuals and setting boundaries professionally
