Security Officer - Residential Patrol

As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, assisting with visitor processing and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, following post orders, and completing required logs, reports, and other security-related documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
