As a Security Officer Retail Store in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist customers, team members, and visitors with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, report security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail store, including sales areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, potential policy violations, and conditions requiring attention, and report observations to appropriate store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Support a welcoming shopping environment by assisting with directions, access control, and other security-related needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
