In this role, youll provide a visible security presence throughout the hospital and surrounding facilities, respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations, assist staff and visitors when needed, and document incidents that occur on hospital property. Key Responsibilities Safeguard employees, patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital property. Provide a visible deterrence to crime and prohibited or suspicious activity in public and non-public areas, including the main hospital, outlying buildings, grounds, parking areas, stairways, mechanical areas, and patient treatment areas. Respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations. Work with law enforcement in the investigation and resolution of incidents occurring on hospital property or involving hospital employees. Escort individuals and assist staff when necessary. Remain alert to behaviors or activities that could result in personal injury, property damage, or property loss. Complete detailed written reports regarding incidents occurring on hospital property or involving hospital staff. Collaborative Teamwork This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, mission-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. Must pass a background check. Valid California security guard license required within three months of hire. Previous security-related work experience preferred. Must be levelheaded and able to respond quickly in stressful situations. Proficient written and oral communication skills in the English language. Working knowledge of basic security techniques. Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community.
