What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual conditions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to support proper reporting and follow-up.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Monitor access points, observe activity on the premises, and help to identify and report unauthorized access, hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
- Support site operations by documenting daily activity, communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and following post orders and client-directed protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
