Security Officer - Screening Specialist

As a Security Officer - Screening Specialist in Everett, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will welcome visitors, screen individuals and belongings, monitor access points, and report security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service. Your visible presence will help to deter incidents and support a professional environment. Pay Rate: $26.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen visitors, packages, and personal belongings using assigned screening equipment and established access-control procedures.
• Verify identification, manage visitor entry, and direct individuals to appropriate offices or public-service areas.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited-item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated public areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
