As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech location, where you will help monitor entry activity, support badge and access screening, and remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location.
- Screen people, bags, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with site protocols, helping to identify prohibited items or unusual activity and reporting concerns to site leadership.
- Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and document visitor and delivery activity while maintaining clear communication with personnel, guests, and/or local responders as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalating issues involving access control, screening results, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location and assignment needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
