As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Screener at a leading financial institution location, you will help support daily operations by screening visitors, monitoring access activity, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, screening activities, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor access points and conduct screening of employees, visitors, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with site protocols for a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required documentation and communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, entry areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence and following post orders and screening procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
- Possess a college degree.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
