Job Description

This is a FT position.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Completes required number of guard tours/patrols inside and outside campus.
Effectively monitors patients who are determined to be a threat to themselves or others.
Provides Forensic Education to corrections and law enforcement personnel, when appropriate.
Monitors property for solicitors, vagrants and persons in unauthorized areas.
Effectively responds to hospital codes.
Enforces hospital parking regulations and issues parking reminders as required.
Reports safety concerns, dangers, hazards, etc, as required.
Completes required reports, logs and other documentation in a timely manner.
Assists with maintaining Lost and Found log, logging and returning property, as necessary.
All other job duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/GED preferred
Valid Driver’s Licensure & clean driving record
Tennessee State certified and possess current security license required; or obtained within 6 months of hire date
Current CPR (or obtain prior to the completion of orientation)
Current CPI/De-escalation training (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
Experience in security or law enforcement field preferred. Two years of related work experience preferred.
The ability to communicate effectively with persons of various cultural and economic backgrounds required.
Possesses minimum computer skills; Familiar with Microsoft programs
