Per Mar Security Services has been a family owned and operated, full-service security company since its inception in 1953. We provide security officer, electronic security, fire alarm and background and investigative services, serving customers in multiple states throughout the Midwest region.

Per Mar Security Services is hiring a security officer in Springfield, IL. This officer will be assigned to an in-store, observe and report position.

Hours: Wed.'s 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Thurs/Fri/Sat 1:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Sun/Mon/Tue off. Pay rate is $20 per hour, 35 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• 18 years-of-age or older
• Able to handle the physical requirements of the position.
• Have a valid driver's license and MVR that falls within company policy.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Current or past PERC holders highly desired, but not required.

Job Duties:

• Serve as a deterrent against thefts and violations of store policy.
• Observe and report security incidents to store management.

NOTE: Upon hire, candidates must agree to travel to Decatur, IL for one half-day for our new hire orientation/training.
