Security Officer - Temporary Bank

BSG is currently seeking to immediately hire a Temporary Security Officer for a Bank in Sacramento. This is a static position where you'll play a key role in keeping tenants safe, providing exceptional customer service, and responding to a variety of situations with professionalism and care. We are seeking guards who are alert, personable, and ready to make an impact in an area that values both safety and community.  

• Shift: Part-Time, Day / Monday - Friday (3pm - 7pm)
• Hourly Rate: $27.00 per hour

Assignment Duration/Dates: Approximate start Aug,10th 2026 through Nov, 13th,2026.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Possess a current California Guard Card License.
• A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required for applicable sites.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.
• Ability to navigate CCTV systems 
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.
• Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly when interacting with community members experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.
• Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, think critically, de-escalate conflicts, and communicate effectively.
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to all laws, regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards.
• Ensure compliance with both company and client policies and procedures while being open to performance improvement.
• Possess a clear understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols.
• At least one year of experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff roles.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires specific physical abilities to ensure the Security Guard can effectively perform essential job duties. The candidate must be able to:

• Stand or Walk for Extended Periods: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, often for several hours at a time, including traversing outdoor areas with uneven surfaces, without significant physical strain.
• Climb Stairs: Regularly climb stairs and navigate multi-level buildings to perform patrols and check all areas.
• Lift and Carry: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move or secure equipment, and assist with other duties as necessary.
• Physical Endurance: Ability to withstand various weather conditions during outdoor patrols, including hot, cold, rainy, or windy weather.
• Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle and operate security equipment, such as radios, keys, and locks.
• Run or Move Quickly: Ability to sprint short distances if needed to respond quickly to emergencies or incidents.
• Physical Stamina: Capable of working long hours while remaining alert and focused throughout the shift. De-escalate stressful situations with professionalism and patience.  
• Kneeling and Bending: Ability to kneel, crouch, and bend to check low-level areas, secure entrances, or assist in emergencies.
• Vision and Hearing: Strong vision and hearing to observe surroundings, monitor security systems, and detect alarms or sounds of distress.

Roles and Responsibilities:  

• Proactive Safety Presence: Maintain a consistent and professional presence in parking and common areas to deter unwanted activity through observation and visibility.

• Guest Assistance: Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to guests by offering directions, information, and general support.

• Observation & Incident Response: Observe and document activity within the assigned areas, report any safety or maintenance concerns, and follow company and client protocols when responding to incidents.

• Traffic and Access Oversight: Monitor parking lot traffic to promote smooth flow and compliance with property rules.

• Professional Documentation: Accurately complete daily reports, incident summaries, and observations through the Lighthouse mobile reporting platform.

• Collaboration: Communicate effectively with Operations, site management, and individual tenant representatives to ensure seamless coordination and client satisfaction.

• Equipment Handling: Lift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds to assist with security tasks or emergencies.
• Emergency Preparedness:  Assist in evacuations or other emergency responses, utilizing physical stamina and agility to support individuals in need
• Conflict Resolution: De-escalate stressful or potentially volatile situations with professionalism, patience, and effective communication skills.
• Professionalism: Uphold a professional and positive demeanor at all times, good grooming and uniform standards, representing the company and its clients with integrity and respect, Adhere to legal standards, company policies, and client-specific protocols.
