As a Security Officer Transitional Housing Access Control in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Security Officer supporting a shelter location. You will manage entry points, verify access, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common spaces, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
