As a Security Officer - Truck Yard Access in San Pedro, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and direct authorized personnel, deliveries, and vehicle traffic in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, loading docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter, while reporting unusual activity or conditions.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
