As a Security Officer Unarmed Facility Patrol in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, offices, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor and/or delivery activity in accordance with site protocols and assigned post orders.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and/or maintenance or security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and onsite contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
