As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Big Island, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post. You will also support access awareness, respond to site needs, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and documenting activity according to site expectations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading and shipping zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor requirements, and report suspicious behavior, damaged equipment, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
• Support daily operations by observing truck traffic, contractor activity, and/or restricted areas, while maintaining detailed logs, reports, and other required security-related records.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
