As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Engagement in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer supporting a public school location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a positive learning environment. Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
