As a Security Officer PatrolandAccess Control in Harrisburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Patrol and Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points, verify access, and support a professional, welcoming experience for visitors, customers, and staff. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity for authorized personnel, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
- Support retail operations by documenting daily activity, verifying credentials when required, and assisting with security-related concerns involving customers, staff, and/or merchandise areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control / Badge experience.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
