    Job Summary

    16 hour Weekend Days

    Availability to work 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

    Requirements:
    Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency calls.
    Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
    Excellent customer service and community policing approach.
    Experience handling emotionally charged situations and de-escalating conflicts.
    Ability to investigate suspicious activity, security incidents, and safety concerns.
    Ability to protect patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property.
    Experience working in healthcare, security, law enforcement, military, or public safety environments is beneficial.

    Job Duties:
    Security patrols and access control.
    Emergency response and incident management.
    Report writing and documentation.
    Customer service and public interaction.
    Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
    Investigations and evidence gathering.
    Radio communications and dispatch coordination.
    Safety inspections and hazard identification.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Valid Massachusetts driver's license
    • Ability to obtain and maintain:
      • CPR/AED/First Aid certification
      • CPI De-Escalation Training certification
      • IAHSS Basic Officer Certification (within first 90 days)
    • Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills
    • Basic computer and report-writing skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
    • 1–3 years of security, law enforcement, military, healthcare security, or related experience
    • Fluency in a second language

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, professional demeanor
    • The ability to balance security enforcement with compassionate customer service in a hospital environment
