Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator

This position operates on-site in Phoenix, Arizona. This is not a Cybersecurity position.

Who We Are Looking For\u202f

The SOC Operator must be detail oriented, have a strong aptitude for communication and analytical thinking when responding to events, as well as having a team-first mentality. Daily responsibilities will focus on the monitoring of global events from a variety of sources, assess impact and then disseminate those incidents to the appropriate parties. Operators must be able to effectively comprehend data and compose clear and effective communications that will have a wide audience. The Operator will regularly monitor security camera systems and coordinate with physical security teams to respond to any incidents.\u202f\u202f

What You Will Work On\u202f

  • Monitor, assess and acknowledge all daily alerts, reported incidents from client\u202fpersonnel, and site intrusion detection alarms\u202f
  • Monitor and administer access control, video management, and intrusion detection\u202fsystems, including dispatch of security officers when needed while meeting the\u202fperformance criteria\u202f
  • Monitor events through open-source collection and coordination with local assets\u202f\u202f
  • Respond to inbound calls from employees and security personnel providing customer service focused responses\u202f\u202f
  • Write security incident investigation reports to provide situational awareness and communicate risks to management\u202f\u202f
  • Monitor designated online tools to conduct situational awareness on social media platforms\u202f
  • Collect, evaluate, and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood\u202f
  • Perform proactive threat intelligence gathering and response, including but not limited to:\u202fevent monitoring, persons of interest, execution protection intelligence\u202f
  • Contribute to procedures and processes to standardize and enhance risk management\u202f
  • Work closely with various teams responsible for security, operations, and incident management
  • Provide emergency and non-emergency security system monitoring, event dispatch, and emergency notification services\u202f
  • Process and maintain a wide variety of files, logs, reports, and forms\u202f
  • Responsible for performing, evidencing, and supporting all necessary tasks for audits\u202f

What You Will Bring\u202f

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred. Either bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience\u202f
  • Have an interest or direct experience in the following: Intelligence, Security Operations, Critical Incident Management or Corporate Security, Emergency Management
  • Must be well-versed in current technologies and open-source search methodologies\u202f
  • Must be a competent user of Microsoft Suite and Google Suite\u202f
  • Must be willing to sign an NDA and maintain strict confidentiality\u202f
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations\u202f
  • Must be able to quickly adapt and excel in dynamic situations\u202f
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills\u202f
  • Successful client management experience\u202f
  • A demonstrated history of effective conflict resolution skills\u202f
  • Maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations\u202f
  • Ability to attend training events and mandatory meetings that fall outside normal work hours\u202f
  • Ability to work 8 to 12-hour shifts both days and nights\u202f
