Job Objective:
Responsible for securing the facility during evenings, nights and on weekends. Also completes work orders requiring non-technical skills as directed and in accordance with, facility's policies, procedures and standards, as well as with sanitary, infection control and all other requirements of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
Schedule:
- 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, VARIABLE SCHEDULE
- 1st shift, 2nd, and/or 3rd shift
- PRN or relief status
Job qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Some experience in security preferred.
- Must be able to use the English language to satisfy the communications and record keeping requirements involved in the performance of this job position, with or without accommodation.
- Must maintain neat, well-groomed appearance, adhering to dress code of the facility.
- Wears Uniform at all times.
- Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions without harm to self or others, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must satisfy all established licensing and certification requirements applicable to this job position.
- Must comply with facility's drug testing and substance abuse policies and programs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Handles incoming calls to the facility switchboard taking care to speak in a professional and courteous manner.
- Observes and enforces the security policies and procedures outlined in the facility's security manual.
- Makes secured all areas per facility policy to ensure the security of the residents, staff and facility property.
- Completes for each shift and gives complete verbal report to oncoming security personnel.
- Completes incident report of any and all unusual events during shift.
- Places a copy incident report in the mailbox of the Director of Facility Services and the Administrator.
