Position Overview

\n

As an Armed Security Officer with MSPS, you will be responsible for maintaining a professional and visible security presence while protecting the client’s property, employees, customers, and assets.

\n

\n

The ideal candidate is alert, dependable, professional, and capable of remaining calm and composed while handling routine security responsibilities and responding appropriately to incidents.

\n

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a highly visible security presence at the assigned location.
• \n
• Monitor the property for suspicious activity, safety concerns, unauthorized access, and potential security threats.
• \n
• Conduct regular security checks and patrols of assigned areas.
• \n
• Observe and report unusual or suspicious behavior.
• \n
• Respond appropriately to security incidents, disturbances, alarms, and emergencies.
• \n
• Follow established post orders, site procedures, and MSPS policies.
• \n
• Assist with maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
• \n
• Prepare accurate and timely incident and activity reports.
• \n
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and emergency personnel when required.
• \n
• Maintain professional conduct and a customer-service-oriented approach while on post.
• \n
• Maintain situational awareness at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

\n

• \n
• 2 years minimum of experience in armed security positions
• \n
• Valid Florida Class “G” Security License required for armed security duties.
• \n
• Valid Florida Driver's License required
• \n
• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or protective services experience preferred.
• \n
• Ability to meet all applicable Florida licensing and client requirements.
• \n
• Clean background and ability to successfully complete required screening.
• \n
• Strong situational awareness and sound judgment.
• \n
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• \n
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• \n
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• \n
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• \n
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods.
• \n
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
• \n
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned location.
