Security Sales Design Estimator

The primary role of the Security Sales Design Estimator is to accurately design the lowest-cost technology solutions that meets or exceeds the needs and expectations of our customers and sets up our delivery team for success.

Position Requirements

·         Support and develop Aegis Protective Services’ technical product offerings.

·         Understand emerging technologies and new technical product offerings.

·         Create, review, and approve project estimates to ensure accuracy, proper scope, and lowest-cost design.

·         Assist, as needed, in the technical sales cycle including consulting with prospective and existing clients.

·         Serve as a company expert and resource on technical products and system offerings.

·         Involvement in project launches and communication/coordination between Sales and Delivery teams.

·         Ownership of technical offerings/platforms.

·         Support field technical team when issues arise and propose solutions to eliminate them.

Desired Skills

·         Bachelor’s Degree (4-year college degree) or equivalent work experience is required.

·         Experience with electronic security systems or a low-voltage discipline is required.

·         3+ years as an estimator or as a Senior Technician in an electrical field is required.

·         Ability to type and create coherent, detailed scope documents.

·         Ability to read schematics and architectural drawings.

·         Proficiency with computer design software (Bluebeam, etc.) is preferred.

·         Ability to work with a team and meet deadlines.

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·         Proficiency with task organization.

Physical Requirements

·         Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers.

·         Pushing/pulling/carrying and lifting may include up to 50 lbs.; stair climbing, walking and, at times, standing.

·         Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities.

·         General computer knowledge and able to adapt to software easily.
