The Security Sensitive Investigations Specialist role supports the Police Department by conducting security-sensitive investigations and recruitment-related background review activities that help maintain a safe and secure environment. The Security Sensitive Investigations Specialist performs detailed investigative work, evaluates security risks, and supports hiring processes that align with institutional standards. The Security Sensitive Investigations Specialist serves as a critical resource in reviewing background information, coordinating investigative activities, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have education, experience, and experience support conducting security-sensitive investigations, evaluating background information, analyzing records from law enforcement and investigative databases, maintaining confidential files, supporting recruitment activities, and coordinating pre-employment screening processes.

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree From an accredited college or university.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Three years investigative experience.
May substitute Bachelor's degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred: Experience required to conduct security-sensitive investigations, assess criminal background information, analyze records from law enforcement and investigative databases, maintain confidential records
