This position is located in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Countermeasures Directorate, Office of Security Technology (ST), Facilities Security Engineering Division (DS/ST/FSE).

You will serve as a Assistant Contracting Officer's Representativeandproviding real-time visibility into the quality, efficiency and timeliness of state-of-the-art mission-critical initiatives designed to protect information, personnel, property and operations from hostile intelligence and criminal activity.

Major Duties: Who May Apply: Job Status: Duration Appointment: This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSCs do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years. Conditions of Employment: Education:

Requirements: Qualifications:

Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement. 

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience applying the full range of contracting/procurement functions to support the acquisitions, management and maintenance needs of a world-wide security program.  
  • Experience evaluating the effectiveness of procurement functions and assessing regulatory compliance. 
  • Experience providing technical guidance on security systems feasability and integration of state-of-the-art technologies into current systems.

There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
