This position is located in the Office of Regional Directors of the High Threat Programs Directorate, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/HTP/RD).

In this position you will serve as a Regional Desk Officer with responsibility for providing policy and program support as well as administrative and managerial assistance to DS/HTP and the Regional Security Offices (RSOs) in assigned regions to provide a safe and secure environment for the conduct of diplomacy at high threat high risk (HTHR) posts.

Requirements: Qualifications:

Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement. 

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience establishing plans, priorities, and budget for security programs.
  • Experience preparing written communication for internal and external audiences.
  • Experience reviewing and evaluating security surveys.

There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
