We're looking for a Security Supervisor who is passionate about protecting people, leading teams, and creating exceptional guest experiences. In this role, you'll lead our Security team in maintaining the safety and security of our guests, employees, visitors, and hotel property while delivering the professionalism, service, and care that define luxury hospitality.
What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Security Department while maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, employees, visitors, and hotel property. This position supervises Security Agents, coordinates departmental activities, responds to incidents, and assists in implementing security, safety, and emergency preparedness programs.
The Security Supervisor serves as a working leader by providing guidance, training, coaching, and operational support while ensuring compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and luxury hospitality service standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Supervise the daily operations of the Security Department and provide leadership to Security Agents during assigned shifts
• Assign work, monitor performance, and provide coaching, training, and ongoing development to Security team members
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, performance evaluations, corrective action, and employee development
• Conduct routine patrols of guest floors, public areas, parking facilities, back-of-house areas, and hotel grounds
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, emergencies, accidents, disturbances, and security incidents
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and safety concerns while preparing accurate, detailed, and timely incident reports
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, evacuations, medical incidents, fire alarms, and crisis situations
• Develop and recommend improvements to security procedures, emergency response plans, and departmental processes
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and regulatory agencies as needed
• Assist in developing and delivering training programs for hotel staff, including emergency procedures, fire safety, CPR, first aid awareness, and workplace safety
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarm systems, access control systems, and security equipment to ensure operational readiness
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and potential security risks throughout the property
• Maintain key control, lost and found procedures, and other departmental security programs
• Assist in monitoring departmental payroll, expenses, scheduling, and operational resources
• Maintain confidentiality regarding hotel operations, guests, employees, investigations, and security matters
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional guest service
• Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Team:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in Criminal Justice, Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred
- Valid California Guard Card required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Valid California Driver License with an acceptable driving record
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Minimum two years of security, loss prevention, hospitality security, law enforcement, or related experience required; previous supervisory experience preferred
- Luxury hotel or resort security experience strongly preferred; Forbes luxury hospitality experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency response procedures, hotel safety regulations, and loss prevention practices
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, team development, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to professionally de-escalate difficult situations
- Excellent communication, investigation, report writing, and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment during emergencies
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, scheduling, and security reporting systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and effectively lead a team
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional local travel as business needs require

Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for extended periods, often for much of the shift
• Patrolling multiple floors, stairwells, parking facilities, and outdoor areas throughout the property
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing stairs
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
• Promptly responding to emergency situations throughout the property
• Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions
• Operating radios, telephones, computers, surveillance systems, access control systems, and company vehicles as assigned
