Security System Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will be responsible for the installation programming start-up and commissioning of state-of-the-art integrated security systems including cctv or ip cameras alarm sensors access control devices and software platforms. Our Security System Technicians are the face of Siemens and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help keep their buildings and inhabitants safe.
As a Security System Technician you will
Participate in Operational Testing Verification and Acceptance
Run routine reports to review system operation.
Participate in final inspection and testing.
Support customer acceptance.
Assist with customer training on system operations.
Complete and submit routine written reports.
Identify code and non-conformance issues and make recommendations for system installation
Conduct Project Site Communication and Coordination
May support others in the scheduling of trade contractors to coordinate start-up services as needed

Basic Qualifications
1 year of experience in the installation andor maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management
Must be willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment including climbing ladders scaffolds and high-lift equipment working in ducts above ceilings and in outsideinsideheatcolddaynight conditions use hand tools laptop email smartphone and tablet differentiate typescolors of wire carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid drivers license with limited violations
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma
3 years experience in the installation andor maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
Massachusetts Class D Electrical License
Ability to readunderstand design and construction documents

The pay range for this position is 27.80 - 47.70 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience knowledge skills qualifications and premium geographic location.
