Commodity & Seed Sales Marketing Representative

Location: North Dakota Region | Remote with Extensive TravelPosition Type: Full-Time

We are a growing agricultural company specializing in seed solutions, grain processing, commodity marketing, specialty crops, and export logistics. Located in one of North Dakota’s most productive agricultural regions, we are committed to helping producers succeed through innovative products, strong partnerships, and exceptional service.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking an energetic and motivated Commodity & Seed Sales Marketing Representative to help grow our dealer network, strengthen customer relationships, and increase brand awareness throughout the region.

Position Overview

This role combines agricultural sales, relationship management, and marketing strategy. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with producers, building strong business partnerships, and creating marketing initiatives that support sales growth. You will serve as a key ambassador for the organization, connecting producers and dealers with solutions that drive profitability and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Dealer Network Development

  • Identify, recruit, and support new seed dealers to expand market presence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing dealer partners.
  • Provide product knowledge, sales support, and training as needed.

Producer Engagement & Sales

  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with growers and agricultural producers.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend seed and commodity solutions.
  • Generate new business opportunities while supporting existing accounts.

Marketing & Brand Promotion

  • Develop and execute local and regional marketing initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, field days, and customer meetings.
  • Promote products and services through digital and in-person marketing efforts.

Digital Marketing & Communications

  • Help manage and enhance the company’s online presence.
  • Utilize social media, digital advertising, email marketing, and content development to engage customers and prospects.
  • Support brand consistency across marketing platforms.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, product performance, and customer feedback.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and customer information.
  • Provide insights and reporting to support business growth and strategic planning.

Sales & Operational Support

  • Assist with sales forecasting, market analysis, and business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of agriculture and a passion for serving producers.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a travel-intensive schedule.
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media platforms, and modern communication tools.
  • Background in agronomy, seed sales, commodity marketing, or a related agricultural field preferred.
  • Proven sales experience is a plus.

Travel Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the region.
  • Frequent visits to dealers, producers, industry events, and trade shows, including occasional extended travel.
