Supports the engineering function for a fabrication area or processing laboratory by performing experiments and tests. Evaluates new processes, products, and/or isolates process problems. May design simple experiments. Implements, collects results, maintains appropriate logs, and provides oral and/or written reports of results. Monitors wafer fabrication, process controls, materials, and supplies. May be required to ensure correct functioning and identify any discrepancies. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May advise operators and inform engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment.

Job Description :

You will be a Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Technician for our team in Goleta, CA. Our team is responsible for maintaining and repairing semiconductor equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Responding to emergency service calls as required
• Instructing customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
• Remaining current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
• Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.
• Managing facility and equipment work orders in the ticketing system
• Network/team player with team and vendors promoting healthy work relationships

Shift:Typical hours for this swing shift are 12pm to 10:30pm (Wednesday-Saturday), with initial training period performed during first shift (Monday-Thursday).

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

• Semiconductor manufacturing experience
• Electrical or mechanical background
• Experience with maintenance repair and troubleshooting electronic production equipment or tooling
• Vacuum Pump troubleshooting and repair
• Hazardous materials/waste handling
• Cleanroom operations- Training or Experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship

• Preferred experience in one or more of the following- Ex. (Etch, Photolith, Deposition, and Dicing)
• Technical or Military background
• Experience in facility MEPs (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing)
• Higher education or certification in HVAC
• Experience in nematic, electronic, or fluid systems
• Initiative in handling issues that need urgent/quick problem-solving or resolutions
• Detailed Oriented
• Read Drawings, manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures
• Electrical Safety Practices
• Electrostatic Discharge basic knowledge

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $67900.00 - $126100.00
