Are you passionate about supporting students with additional needs to thrive? We are looking for a proactive and dedicated SEND Officer to play a vital role in guiding students through their journey- from pre-enrolment to a successful college experience.
As a SEND Officer, you will be instrumental in supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and additional needs. You'll act as a key point of contact, ensuring a seamless, supportive transition into college and ongoing success throughout their studies.
Key duties and responsibilities
Lead and chair EHCP review meetings, working collaboratively with curriculum teams and local authority partners to set clear, meaningful outcomes for students.
Prepare and submit Appendix 2 documentation to support EHCP assessments where required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHCP records, ensuring any changes are effectively communicated to all relevant staff.
Build strong, proactive relationships with local schools and external partners, attending transition reviews and key meetings to gather essential information on incoming students.
Coordinate transition activities, helping students feel confident, supported, and ready to begin their college journey.
