Job DescriptionSenior Academic Advisor – Lee Business School [R0146012]RoleAs a Senior Academic Advisor in UNLV's Lee Business School Undergraduate Advising office, you will provide information and guidance to students, helping them define and achieve their educational and life goals while adhering to university and college academic requirements and standards. The position focuses on at‑risk students and the implementation of interventions to support UNLV's Progression, Retention, and Completion initiative.ResponsibilitiesParticipating in recruiting eventsProviding academic guidance to students via appointments, e‑mail, presentations, and information sessionsReferring students to other campus offices as neededCreating, editing, and disseminating information for handouts, web sites, and cataloguesReviewing and processing paperwork submitted by studentsMaintaining relationships with colleagues on campus and at other Nevada System of Higher Education institutionsMaintaining relationships with the college's department chairs and facultyServing as an informational resource to the college's deans, department chairs, faculty, and staff regarding academic policies and administrative proceduresParticipating in UNLV's Academic Advising CouncilAdditional duties may include academic intervention programs, group advising coordination, and prospective student advising and outreach.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and three years of related professional experience.
