Job Description:

Are you passionate about building media relationships, uncovering compelling stories, and helping brands connect with the conversations that matter most? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can balance strategic thinking with flawless execution?

As a Senior Account Executive, Brand at Zeno, you will play a key role in supporting and executing integrated communications programs for a diverse portfolio of clients. Working closely with account teams and clients, you will drive earned media initiatives, develop compelling content, manage day-to-day account activities, and contribute to programs that deliver meaningful business results.

Unlike an entry-level communications role, this position offers increased ownership and strategic involvement across client programs. You will help shape media strategies, develop key messaging, mentor junior team members, and serve as a trusted partner in delivering exceptional client service and impactful communications outcomes.

About the Role:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with client and vendor contacts, proactively managing communications and helping ensure seamless day-to-day account support.
  • Media Relations & Story Development: Develop and execute media relations initiatives, craft newsworthy story angles, and support earned media strategies that generate meaningful coverage and visibility for clients.
  • Content Development: Research, interview, write and edit a variety of communications materials, including news releases, media pitches and other client-facing content that supports business objectives.
  • Program Execution & Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget and aligned with client goals while maintaining a strong understanding of the broader communications strategy.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Coach and support junior team members, delegate work effectively, and foster collaboration across account teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Strategic Communications Support: Develop key messages and contribute ideas that strengthen client programs, support campaign objectives and create opportunities for impactful storytelling.

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in public relations, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Proven experience securing earned media coverage through strategic pitching, media outreach and content development.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling stories and messaging across multiple formats.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to view client programs through both creative and business lenses.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, proactive and results-oriented, with the confidence to contribute ideas and perspectives during team discussions and brainstorming sessions.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and working effectively across teams to achieve shared goals.
