Senior Account Manager

Position Summary

Choice Insurance Agency is seeking an experienced and client-focused Senior Account Manager to join our growing Personal Lines team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of personal insurance clients, delivering exceptional customer service, and serving as a trusted advisor for coverage and policy needs.

The ideal candidate will bring strong personal lines insurance expertise, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members while helping drive client retention and satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of personal lines clients.
• Conduct policy reviews and recommend appropriate coverage solutions based on client needs.
• Process new business, renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and cancellations.
• Partner with insurance carriers and clients to support the claims process and provide ongoing guidance.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell and round out accounts through consultative conversations.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation within agency management systems.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior account managers and new team members.
• Stay current on industry trends, carrier offerings, and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia Property & Casualty Insurance License.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal lines insurance account management.
• Strong knowledge of personal lines products, including homeowners, auto, renters, and umbrella coverage.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-management skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency with insurance agency management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience managing complex or high-value personal lines accounts.
• Previous mentoring or leadership experience within an insurance agency environment.
