Senior Account Partner - Corporate Market

The Senior Account Partner drives subscription and licensing revenue across the Corporate market in North America for the Sage and Mary Ann Liebert journal portfolios, with a substantial focus on AI Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) licensing. Beyond completing new business and renewals, the Senior Sales Partner brings greater independence and creativity to how deals are shaped — proposing licensing approaches, testing pricing and positioning in-market, and helping refine the Corporate sales playbook in partnership with the Senior Director. This is a role for someone who can operate with autonomy in an emerging, high-opportunity area.

Your New Role:

• Own a portfolio of high-value Corporate accounts across North America, driving new subscription sales and renewals for Sage and Mary Ann Liebert journal content. New business development is a key aspect of this role — success depends as much on generating and closing net-new accounts as on growing existing relationships.

• Take a leading role in selling AI RAG licensing into the Corporate segment — surfacing opportunities, shaping proposals, and bringing market feedback into the pricing and strategy discussion with the Senior Director.

• Bring creativity and agency to deal design, structuring complex and first-of-their-kind licensing arrangements in collaboration with the Senior Director.

• Manage the full sales cycle end-to-end, including the most complex and strategic accounts.

• Develop sophisticated account plans that improve subscription, upsell, and licensing value across both portfolios.

• Act as a market-facing expert on AI content licensing for Corporate buyers, building Sage's credibility in this space.

• Represent Sage and Liebert at industry conferences and in high-stakes customer visits.

• Contribute to the development of the Corporate sales approach — sharing insight, helping shape playbooks, and informally mentoring less-experienced team members.

• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and account records in the CRM.

Can you be our new Senior Account Partner? Do you have:

• 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of selling complex, multi-stakeholder solutions to corporate clients in research-intensive sectors such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or life sciences. Experience in healthcare and government markets would be an advantage.

• Demonstrated success closing complex, high-value deals and consistently exceeding individual revenue targets.

• Direct exposure to AI, data licensing, or RAG/LLM applications, with the ability to speak credibly to technical and commercial collaborators.

• Strong strategic instincts and the creativity to shape novel licensing offers in an emerging market.

• Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy while aligning closely with senior leadership on strategy, demonstrating strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Willingness to travel 25–40%.
