They are a multi-billion-dollar organization that services a vast network of industries with 10k+ products!Job DescriptionSenior Accountant/Accounting Supervisor Responsibilities:Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.Maintain and analyze standard costs, labor costs, overhead allocations, and variances.Perform detailed variance analysis related to production, labor, materials, and inventory.Support annual standard cost updates and inventory valuation processes.Partner with operations and plant management to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.Analyze operating results and prepare management reports highlighting key trends and variances.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
