Senior AccountantFull Time | Days | Monday - FridayPay: $29-$35based on experienceLutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is seeking a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will share Our Mission: Creating a better world by serving people in need.What will I do as Senior Accountant with Lutheran Social Services?Lead month-end close for all affordable housing entities; maintain the general ledger in NetSuite and AR in OneSite.Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements, budgets-to-actual variance analysis, and HUD-required reports accurately and on time.Reconcile balance sheet accounts (cash, fixed assets, reserves, residual receipts, intercompany) and maintain supporting schedules/workpapers.Oversee resident A/R and HAP cash postings; partner with property staff to resolve discrepancies.Support compliance activities, including surplus cash/residual receipts analysis, CapX processing, and coordination on tax filings as needed.Support annual financial and single audits; respond to auditor requests and help strengthen internal controls.Serve as primary finance partner to Affordable Housing leadership and operations; perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting required.5+ years of accounting experience required.Affordable housing experience (HUD-regulated programs, Section 8, LIHTC, and/or RAD for PRAC) strongly preferred.Nonprofit/fund accounting and revenue recognition experience preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting.NetSuite (or similar ERP) and OneSite (or similar property management software) preferred.Advanced Excel skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.Benefits with Lutheran Social ServicesHealth insurance with 4-plan optionsTuition Reimbursement Program403(b) retirement plan with employer matched savingsDental and Vision insuranceMedical and Childcare Flexible Spending (FSA)Health Savings AccountPTO and 12 Paid HolidaysOpportunity to make a positive impact on individuals & the communityAbout Lutheran Social ServicesLutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
