Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
- Support the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances
- Support internal and external reporting requirements
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
- Assist with audit support and documentation as needed
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 2–5 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, or general ledger accounting
- Exposure to investment or fund accounting is a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement flow
- Proficiency in Excel and ability to work with large data sets
