This position supports the Financial Reporting and Compliance Manager in all aspects of financial reporting and requires a high level of accounting experience and knowledge. The position involves performing complex and varied financial operations in accordance with established policies and practices, including the preparation, analysis, reconciliation, and verification of financial records. The position will assist with researching, analyzing, interpreting, and implementing new accounting pronouncements and best practices that impact financial processes.

Type of Recruitment Knowledge, skills and abilities

Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting software, particularly in report writing and analysis. Considerable knowledge of effective oral and written communication techniques and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external constituents. Considerable knowledge of identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of accounting principles and methods to a variety of complex fiscal needs. Demonstrated ability to assemble, analyze, reconcile, and interpret financial data. Demonstrated ability to use a variety of PC based software packages, particularly Excel. Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and interpret administrative policies and procedures.

This role requires strict adherence to deadlines to ensure accurate, timely completion of reconciliations, schedules, financial reports, and compliance-related tasks. Position must effectively prioritize workloads and schedules, manage competing responsibilities, and maintain accuracy under strict time constraints. Meeting deadlines is critical for supporting organizational decision-making, external (Commonwealth) reporting, regulatory compliance, and maintaining trust and accountability with management.

Considerable accounting and financial analysis experience. Strong experience reviewing financial transactions and report writing. Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
