The Senior Accountant will serve as a key contributor within the finance function, taking ownership of essential accounting operations and helping drive accurate, timely financial reporting across multiple entities. This individual will play a leadership role in the close process, oversee critical accounting activities, and provide guidance to junior team members. This position blends hands-on accounting with process oversight and offers exposure to complex financial structures, making it well-suited for a technically strong professional who enjoys both execution and improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include:
  • Lead core accounting activities, including oversight of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Review financial transactions and ensure accurate classification across multiple entities
  • Monitor and manage receivables activity tied to internal and affiliated operations
  • Oversee payment-related workflows, including expense reimbursements and vendor disbursements
  • Support financial reporting cycles by preparing schedules and delivering insights to leadership
  • Partner on audit and tax deliverables, ensuring documentation is complete and well-organized
  • Guide and support accounting staff, promoting consistency and strong execution across the team
  • Evaluate current processes, recommend improvements, and help implement efficiencies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment and data integrity across financial operations
 
The right candidate for the Senior Accountant role will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time in larger or multi-entity environments
  • Prior experience in  investment-related accounting environments preferred
  • Demonstrated experience supporting financial reporting and close processes
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and reporting practices
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working within accounting systems
  • Ability to interpret accounting guidance and apply it in practical settings
  • Experience analyzing variances and ensuring financial accuracy
  • Proven ability to provide direction, review work, and support team development. (Supervisory experience is required).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Experience within mid-sized to large organizations
  • Demonstrated career stability and long-term contributions in prior roles
