Overview The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. As part of client Financial Shared Services (FSS), this role contributes to the overall control environment while adhering to standardized, harmonized, and high-quality accounting practices.Responsibilities Actively participate in the month-end close and reporting process in alignment with the Corporate Reporting calendar.Record and report transactions accurately, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.Prepare supporting schedules and analyses as required by management.Perform monthly/quarterly/semi-annual reconciliations for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank accounts.Research, identify, and clear reconciling items in a timely manner with appropriate documentation.Maintain and update desktop procedures to reflect changes in processes and tools.Keep updated checklists and ensure tasks are completed per such checklists.Recommend and implement process improvements as needed.Develop strong relationships with accounting, finance, and operations teams to address inquiries and provide solutions.Proactively communicate with stakeholders to resolve issues in an effective and cost-efficient manner.Share knowledge and support team members to promote a collaborative environment.Complete ad hoc requests with a focus on quality and timeliness.Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues, escalating to management as necessary with proposed solutions.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting required7–9 years of accounting/audit experience in public or private accountingCA or CPA certification preferredExperience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Great Plains, NetSuite) and Blackline (strongly preferred)Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Strong reporting and data querying capabilitiesDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teamsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while excelling in a team environmentAdaptable to changes in business requirements and eager to learn new skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to work flexible hours, including during Month-End Close/Reporting periodsCACPABenefits Competitive Hourly Rate (Depending on Experience)About UsWe are champions of change, torchbearers of innovation, pioneers of modern business and technology solutions, believers in teamwork, transparency, and relationships.We are AANSEACORE - a global BusinessTechnology Transformation Solutions Company, specializing in Professional Staffing.
