Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close: managing complex transactions, resolving issues, and keeping the process tight and documented
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations across US and UK entities
• Handle sales tax compliance across multiple states as we exceed thresholds, and support US and UK audit preparation year-round
• Build and document internal accounting policies, controls, and processes that scale with a growing business
• Optimise our accounting stack: Rillet, Maxio, and connected platforms to keep billing, CRM, and finance in sync
• Support day-to-day cash operations and provide visibility into multi-currency exposure
• Ensure monthly close runs on time and is audit-ready every single month, not just at year-end

Qualifications

• The candidate has held the job title Senior Accountant or its equivalent.
• The candidate must have 4 or more years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a Business-to-Business (B2B) or Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Software as a Service (SaaS) company, or public accounting experience at a firm doing financial audits.
• The candidate must be Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified.
• The candidate must have solid working knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), month-end close, and reconciliations.
• The candidate must have experience with mid-market accounting systems such as NetSuite or similar, as QuickBooks alone is not sufficient.
• The candidate must possess a startup mentality, being comfortable with ambiguity, change, and building processes rather than just following existing ones.
• The candidate should be located in or around Austin, TX for a hybrid work model.
• The candidate has hands-on experience using Rillet, Maxio, and connected platforms to keep billing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and finance in sync.
• The candidate has experience managing complex multi-currency transactions and dual-entity audits across United States and United Kingdom entities.
