Senior Accountant

Location: Bakersfield, CA (Onsite)
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 DOE

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who can take ownership of financial reporting, month-end close, and complex accounting activities while partnering closely with leadership. The Opportunity

As a Senior Accountant, you'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial reporting while supporting leadership with analysis and accounting expertise. You'll have ownership of complex general ledger activity, financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close while also contributing to process improvements and special projects.

What You'll Do

• Lead key components of the monthly and year-end close process

• Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide meaningful reporting to leadership

• Support annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and compliance initiatives

• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes, reporting, and financial controls

What We're Looking For

• 
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 4+ years of progressive accounting experience

  
  
• 
  

• CPA license strongly preferred; CPA candidates or public accounting experience will also be considered

  
  
• 
  

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close

  
  
• 
  

• Advanced Excel skills with experience working within ERP and financial reporting systems

  
  
•
