    Description

    What We NeedCORPAY is currently looking to hire a Senior Accountant within our Finance and Accounting division. This position falls under our Global Shared Services line of business and is located in Brentwood, TN. In this role, will lead responsibilities of the company's Global Shared Services Accounting Department and manage close responsibilities with our global subsidiaries as well as work on key initiatives relating to critical processes. The ideal candidate should be motivated, a self-starter, detailed-oriented, strong in accounting concepts, have a willingness to learn and be a team player. You will report directly to the VP Assistant Corporate Controller and regularly collaborate with the team and other departments.

    How We WorkAs a Senior Accountant, you will be expected to work in an office environment. CORPAY will set you up for success by providing:

    Assigned workspace in Brentwood, TN office. (4 days in office)Company-issued equipment + remote accessFormal, hands-on training

    Role ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role will include:

    Coordinate month-end close activities, including timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, inter-company elimination and balancing processes, expense accruals, prepaid amortization, lease accounting, fixed assets and account reconciliationsEnsure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close in accordance with GAAP, company policies and controlsReview monthly and quarterly reporting analysis and other management reporting as assignedLead team members, projects and certain functions managed by the Controller's DepartmentProvide thought leadership, continually evaluating and optimizing month-end close processes to deliver process automation and improved accuracyDevelop/enhance, implement and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures that will improve the overall operation and reduce risks of the business.Support with internal and external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year end auditCollaborate and partner with cross functionally with global departments on resolving month-end close activities and while working on strategic initiativesParticipate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications & Skills

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA track preferred).2+ years of accounting experience, ideally within large or complex organizations; public accounting experience is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSolid organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to be self-directed and self-motivatedAbility to coordinate and work with business leaders in multiple locationsAbility to meet deadlines timely accurately in a high pace environmentMust be a hands-on, detail-oriented individualThe right person will be ambitious and flexible who wants to learn and grow professionallyExcellent Excel skills and willingness to learn new technical applications
